Lawson Drayage is seeking a Fleet Mechanic with prior experience in the heavy diesel industry. Compensation is based on experience. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of diesel mechanics. Our West Sacramento shop currently has only one on-site diesel mechanic, so this position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accurate records. Self-motivation, a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment, and your own tools are essential. Responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance from minor to major repairs, on all fleet class A trucks, trailers, and forklifts. Perform 90-day BIT inspections on all trucks, trailers, and complete the necessary paperwork. Perform oil changes, grease and inspect all working units Knowledge of electrical systems Engine Repairs Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel systems, emission systems, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, transmission and carriers Perform quality diagnostics and recommend repairs needed Perform professional repairs to OEM specs

Requirements
