About The Position

The Inland Group of Companies (IDS and Quantem Aviation Services) is a trusted aviation partner operating at over 50+ airports across Canada and the United States. We deliver aircraft de-icing, fueling, environmental management, ground handling, and other specialized aviation support services. Safety is our highest priority. Mechanics play an important role in ensuring proper performance, safety and reliability of our Heavy-duty trucks, support vehicles and ground service equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid US Driver’s license
  • Must be able to speak, hear, read, and write efficiently. Also, must be able to understand and carry out instructions and direct others in English
  • Have basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Candidates must have your own basic set of tools (sockets/wrenches) up to 1" in size and up to 1/2" drive.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to manipulate multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines at once
  • Knowledge of fluid types, diesel powered machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Maintain and treat all information as confidential
  • Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
  • Proven knowledge and use of standard and specialty tools and specialized testing equipment (i.e. photo tachometer, diagnostics tools and hardware, scanners and meters)
  • Ability to travel to our other IDS Airport to help our company when called upon

  • Welding experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for local maintenance scheduling and performance to ensure equipment dependability
  • Perform all duties of a skilled maintenance technician following recognized procedures for such work, as required
  • Ability to read and use maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, schematics, blueprints, drawings, and other related maintenance documents to complete work assignments
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems and resolve within an established timeframe
  • Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records and conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections on equipment
