About The Position

Clarke Vehicare has an immediate opening for a Fleet Diesel Technician for their evening shift. This role involves repairing and maintaining customer vehicles and mechanical equipment, potentially including road service and in-shop work. The position requires heavy-duty truck repair and engine diagnostics experience, with a preference for experience with Paccar, Cummins, & CAT. Technicians will perform various repairs including engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C systems, and will test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW. The role also involves assisting other technicians and working independently. The job requires the use of technology for recording repairs.

Requirements

• Previous Air brake experience is required.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years Truck Repair Experience preferred.
• Completion of Diesel Program Preferred
• CDL is preferred.
• ASE Certification in PMI & Brakes a plus

Responsibilities

• Use of smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to record all repairs
• Repairs and maintains customer vehicles and mechanical equipment
• May include Road Service and In-Shop Work
• Heavy Duty Truck Repair
• May include Engine Diagnostics Experience with Paccar, Cummins, & CAT
• Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs
• Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW
• Assist other technicians when needed
• Must be able to work independently
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
