The Fleet Manager is focused on scheduling trucks for delivery and keeping the company in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, supervising drivers, and fleet maintenance. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years managing DOT-regulated drivers and scheduling transportation; working knowledge of DOT regulations required.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively (verbal and written); basic math aptitude and computer familiarity.
• Must be able to read and use a tape measurer.
• Professional, courteous communication with customers and drivers; safety-first mindset and team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the glass industry
• a valid (unexpired) CDL
• a degree in logistics

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers, ensure adherence to DOT and company policies, audit logs, and maintain driver qualification files.
• Conduct driver training, schedule routes and deliveries, and coordinate workloads.
• Prepare delivery schedules, bill of ladings, trip records, and fuel tax reports; manage common carrier shipments.
• Inspect load securely, review proof of deliveries, handle rejected goods, and coordinate reorders.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance programs and ensure all vehicles meet regulatory standards.
