The Fleet Manager will serve as the centralized governance and enterprise operations hub for all DOT‑regulated fleet assets within CHS OneFleet, unifying decentralized functions into a standardized, enterprise‑wide operating model. Leading Asset Utilization & Management, Fleet Enablement, Compliance & Credentialing, and Long‑Range Fleet Strategy, the position ensures scalable operations, regulatory readiness, disciplined financial oversight, and optimized asset deployment across the organization.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
  • Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities
  • Ability to analyze fleet data, manage lifecycle processes, and coordinate with vendors and cross‑functional teams.
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance, registrations, permitting, and multi‑state regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Diesel Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant fleet, transportation, or compliance certifications (e.g., NAFA CAFM/CAFS, DOT compliance training, or OEM/telematics certifications) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead centralized fleet governance, including standardized processes, controls, service delivery, and data integrity across business units.
  • Provide enterprise‑level oversight, reporting, and decision support while enabling the shift to a unified COE model.
  • Oversee the full fleet asset lifecycle—from specifications and procurement through utilization, transfers, and disposition—to optimize capital investment and asset performance.
  • Centralize fleet financial operations, including billing accuracy, vendor programs, fuel card controls, parts programs, and fuel transaction audits.
  • Ensure full compliance and credentialing for all fleet assets; lead audits and reconcile physical assets to system records.
  • Develop long‑range fleet capacity plans, capital forecasts, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory readiness strategies, including EPA 2032.
  • Maintain strategic OEM and supplier relationships to support fleet modernization and growth.
  • Own enterprise telematics deployment and governance, including hardware/software installation, VIN verification, configuration standards, and reporting.
