Cary is seeking a skilled automotive mechanic to work in a fast-paced, dynamic operation where technicians conduct preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for Cary's fleet of various automotive, construction and specialized equipment. As part of the Fleet Maintenance Division, the Fleet Maintenance Technician II will have a unique opportunity to proudly work on skilled team and support Cary’s commitment to providing excellent service. Our ideal candidate is willing to work hard and displays a passion for helping internal and external customers. The candidate will be flexible, self-motivated, and take initiative to complete fleet maintenance and repairs. The candidate will be excited to learn new skills and technology, such as preventative care for Tesla police vehicles. Most importantly, the candidate will take pride in their accomplishments and the difference they make in the Cary community. Fleet positions are "critical positions", meaning employees are required to report to work during adverse weather or other emergency situations, to maintain equipment and/or assist the Fleet Division in any capacity necessary to continue Town operations. All tools are provided by Cary. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $56,871.36 to $69,866.16. Hiring rate will be commensurate with experience.
