About The Position

Acadian Companies is seeking a full-time Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Monroe, LA. The primary focus of this role is to seek and analyze fleet efficiencies while collaborating closely with Operations to implement lean operating methodologies related to inventory and vehicle warranties. Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of college education required.
  • Credible background in operations and management.
  • Current valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to satellite locations for up to 5 days at a time.
  • Ability to master supporting software programs, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyze, identify, and communicate essential operational information to maximize operational and financial efficiencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in an applicable field preferred.
  • Understanding of automotive and maintenance processes is well regarded, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Work on units as a mechanic as needed for mission requirements.
  • Analyze, manage, and continuously improve inventory levels in assigned shop(s).
  • Schedule and manage quarterly and end-of-year inventory counts.
  • Handle all warranty claims for parts and labor on company vehicles.
  • Seek and analyze fleet efficiencies in collaboration with Operations to find lean operating methodologies.
  • Work with the Manager of Fleet Maintenance to ensure quality, reduce downtime, and analyze cost-saving opportunities.
  • Design and produce measurable metrics to track progress and optimize efficiencies.
  • Approve and process all Fleet invoices and enter them into appropriate systems.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships and communication with approved Fleet vendors.
  • Assist the Manager in researching and establishing new Fleet vendors.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Fleet employees, including recommendations for hiring, termination, compensation, performance reviews, merit pay, coaching, counseling, training, and employee satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Senior Director, Directors, Managers, and Maintenance Supervisors to achieve organizational and departmental goals.
  • Respond to and resolve vendor inquiries and problems.
  • Prepare reports and proposals for Administration.
