We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations of our fixed-route transit fleet. This dynamic leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our vehicles while overseeing all day-to-day maintenance operations. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will provide strategic leadership to the maintenance team, ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements, manage maintenance budgets, and drive operational excellence through effective planning, reporting, and continuous improvement. Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of recent, relevant experience (within the last five (5) years) managing the maintenance operations of a transit bus maintenance facility similar in scope, size, complexity, and vehicle type.
• Proven experience managing and directing a team of 10 or more maintenance employees, including Fleet Technicians, Service Workers, and Cleaners.
• Experience overseeing the maintenance of a fleet of 50 or more buses within the last year.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and maintain strong client relationships.
• Experience tracking and controlling parts inventories while managing vendors and suppliers.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, implement maintenance schedules, and manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
• Proven ability to manage the financial and accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation, including budgets and cost controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, leadership, clients, and external partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Technical expertise in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
• Hands-on experience maintaining fixed-route transit buses.
• Solid knowledge of preventive maintenance (PM) programs, compliance audits, and maintenance best practices.
• Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, candor, and tact in all interactions.
• Must be able to obtain a CDL Class B driver's license with passenger and air brake endorsements.

Nice To Haves

• Previous passenger transportation experience in a fixed-route transit operation or a similar environment is preferred.
• Experience working with diesel, compressed natural gas (CNG), and alternative fuel vehicles is highly preferred.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
