About The Position
MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager who will be a dynamic, multi-task oriented senior professional to manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of a multimode bus operation. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved, and duties included will consist of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports. The Fleet Maintenance Manager must be able to properly manage a budget for maintenance program.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (2) years of journey-level mechanic experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in maintenance supervision.
- Must have computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft outlook.
- Must have technical competence with light/medium/heavy duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
- Must display initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.
- Technical experience with fixed route and paratransit bus maintenance.
- Some experience with Diesel, Electric and Alternative fuels required.
- Must have a CDL class B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
- Must be able to manage the financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
Nice To Haves
- Previous passenger transportation in current project or similar environment preferred.
- ASE certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of a multimode bus operation.
- Ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports.
- Manage a budget for the maintenance program.
- Perform hands-on maintenance tasks periodically.
- Manage and interface with the client.
- Track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
- Properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.
- Manage the financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
- Oversee a mixed fleet of diesel, gas, hybrid and battery electric vehicles.
- Manage audits and PM schedules.
