About The Position

Acadian Companies has an immediate opening for a full-time night-shift Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join their team in Lafayette, LA. This role involves the coordination of the movement of vehicles and other assets. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to handle stressful situations; ability to multi-task
• Ability to learn customized software; MS Office proficiency required
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and meet multiple concurrent deadlines independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years Diesel Mechanic Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Ambulance Operations by assigning the correct number of ambulance units each day and by exchanging ambulances in a timely manner when a breakdown occurs
• Obtain critical information when a unit is involved in an accident/breakdown for both emergency and non-emergency transports
• Coordinate additional units with a sense of urgency when a breakdown/accident occurs with and without patients onboard
• Assign maintenance or rebuild tasks to area shops and technicians for ambulance fleet and company vehicles
• Liaison with contractors and vendors to recover assets that are out of commission
