The Fleet Engineer analyzes deficiencies, develops cost effective and applicable corrective action plans to correct the deficiencies, and performs follow-up evaluations to verify that those corrections have taken place and have been effective.

Requirements

  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in cloud-based accounting systems as well as Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and the ability to work with a variety of personalities.

  • 0-3 years in Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret FAA regulations, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation in English
  • Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Programs, MPD’s, STC’s, and ICA’s
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts as operational needs dictate.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Maintenance & Engineering systems (such as TRAX or eMRO) is preferred.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate findings and perform root cause analysis
  • Skilled at showing cost/benefits and project payback to proposed changes and/or modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering responses to fleet performance, reliability and safety issues
  • Review, prioritize, implement, and track prevention strategies (process improvements).
  • Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
  • Develop cost effective correction action plans to address operational consequences and reduce the failure rates of the systems that are causing delays/cancellations giving high priority to safety and economic consequences that affect reliability.
  • Consistently strive to: Reduce mechanical failures, Reduce delays and aircraft downtime, Reduce human errors, Reduce accidents and incidents, Reduce repeat discrepancies, Enhance troubleshooting techniques, Enhance reliability
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
