About The Position

Smithfield Foods is hiring a regional professional truck driver based in Junction City, Kansas. Drivers transport freight over long distances to company plants, company distribution centers, and customer distribution centers. The job uses late-model Freightliner tractors pulling 53-foot refrigerated trailers. Safe driving, customer service, and effective decision-making are central to success. The position offers schedules with two days off per week, and anticipated home time is 48 hours. Drivers should average at least 2,500 miles per week. Freight is no-touch, with no backhauling through outside customers; fewer than 5% of shipments have extra stops. Routes do not include New York, New England, or the western states. The role uses fully serviced leased equipment and does not involve slip seating. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
At least 1 year of CDL Class A tractor-trailer or reefer driving experience is required.
