Fleet Deckhand - Clinton, IA
About The Position
This is a full-time, non exempt level position. The role involves general upkeep of the vessel, including washing, chipping, painting, and cleaning. Responsibilities also include tow work, such as building rigging and preparing tows for Lineboats, and fleet work, such as preparing barges for delivery to local customers. Assisting barge cleaners, mechanics, and welders may also be required. The position requires the ability to work safely, exercise initiative and good judgment, and possess reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including changes in assignments and priorities based on the vessel's needs, is essential. The role requires working well independently and as part of a team, and the ability to work in all types of climates. Candidates must pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen, and promote the ADM Way and Core Values. A current Transportation Worker Credential (TWIC) card, or the ability to obtain one, is required. ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
Requirements
