Requirements

  • 1 to 3+ years of experience as an automotive service technician or fleet/commercial truck technician.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points and no major violations).
  • Must possess a foundational set of professional tools required to perform day-to-day automotive repairs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy components, and comfortably work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturer certifications are highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Correctly identify and repair vehicle issues based on approved estimates, manufacturer guidelines, and customer concerns.
  • Efficiently complete comprehensive digital MPI inspections via CDK and MPI electronic platforms to provide service advisors with accurate estimates and clear explanations.
  • Test-drive vehicles with customers (when necessary) to evaluate noise, vibration, or performance concerns, and test-drive post-repair to verify the issue is resolved.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document all causes, corrections, and required step-by-step paperwork for every repair order.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace. Ensure all customer vehicles are kept clean and returned to their proper locations.
  • Stay up to date on the latest manufacturer information, technical service bulletins (TSBs), safety recalls, and required training modules.
