About The Position

Essential Duties: Install, troubleshoot, and repair 12-volt electrical systems in fleet vehicles and equipment Wire and install emergency lighting, radios, sirens, inverters, and related components Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment (multimeter, circuit testers, etc.) Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on vehicle electrical systems Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, parts used, and repairs completed Collaborate with maintenance staff and leadership to prioritize fleet repair needs Ensure proper routing, securing, and protection of wiring harnesses and components Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Respond to urgent repair needs as required to support fleet availability Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive electrical systems or related field Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams Basic understanding of automotive electrical components and systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with emergency vehicles (ambulances, fire, law enforcement, or commercial fleets) Experience installing communication equipment, lighting systems, or fleet electronics Technical training or certification in automotive electrical systems Skills & Abilities: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Time management and organizational skills Ability to work in physically demanding environments and confined space Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, shop environments) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement: Pafford Emergency Medical Services / ProMedics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
