About The Position

The Fleet Assistant supports the efficient management of Hunt Electric’s vehicle fleet. They will assist the Fleet Supervisor and Specialist with tracking vehicle usage, registrations, maintenance and repairs coordination to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards. The Fleet Assistant will respond to drivers, vendors, and other internal teams to keep fleet operations running smoothly. This position is based at our Eagan, MN headquarters and a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office and up to 2 days remote weekly after an initial training period).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in related fields such as fleet management, rentals, registration, or vehicle maintenance
  • Excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn internal accounting and fleet management software.
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

Nice To Haves

  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain spreadsheets to keep fleet data organized, up to date, and compliant with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Schedule vehicle pickup, delivery, maintenance, and detailing
  • Assist the Fleet Supervisor and Specialist with vehicle registrations, insurance claims, and other tasks as needed
  • Update the Vehicle Information System (VIS) to enter or remove applicable vehicle data
  • Respond to drivers, vendors, and team member calls, emails, or messages in a helpful and timely manner to provide excellent customer service
