About The Position

The Fleet & Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s vehicle fleet, field assets, specialty test equipment, and related operational support functions across Group CBS. This role ensures field teams have the vehicles, tools, equipment, and resources necessary to safely and efficiently support daily operations nationwide. The Fleet & Asset Manager oversees fleet procurement, vehicle outfitting, maintenance coordination, asset tracking, equipment calibration, inventory management, and vendor relationships while supporting operational growth and scalability across the business. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in fleet management, asset management, operations management, or related field
  • Strong organizational, communication, and vendor management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and asset tracking systems
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multi-location operations preferred
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, equipment management, and field service operations preferred
  • Mechanically inclined background preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • CDL or ability to obtain applicable endorsements preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage company fleet including service trucks, vans, specialty vehicles, and trailers.
  • Coordinate vehicle ordering, delivery, assignment, and replacement planning.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly outfitted with bed slides, bed covers, power converters/inverters, vehicle graphics, and required tooling and test equipment.
  • Coordinate vehicle registrations, inspections, maintenance, repairs, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain understanding of DOT requirements, fleet policies, and company vehicle procedures.
  • Support standardization of fleet operations while maintaining flexibility to meet hiring and operational demands.
  • Maintain centralized tracking and accountability of vehicles, trailers, specialty test equipment, tools, and assigned assets.
  • Oversee inventory, maintenance, calibration, transportation, storage, and repair of company equipment.
  • Coordinate equipment loading and deployment to support operational needs company wide.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for tracking, maintaining, and updating fleet and asset records.
  • Support lifecycle planning and replacement strategies for fleet and equipment assets.
  • Partner with Operations, Field Services, Purchasing, and leadership teams to support staffing and expansion needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors for purchasing, maintenance, repairs, upfitting, and equipment services.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and vendor service agreements when applicable.
  • Assist in improving operational systems, reporting, processes, and asset visibility across the organization.
  • Travel to company locations as needed to oversee fleet and asset management activities.
