About The Position

Sells new or used vehicles to commercial/fleet customers at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves meeting dealership sales goals, engaging in business development, and addressing customer concerns. The position requires maintaining high customer satisfaction standards, a clean and safe work area, and accurate record-keeping. The employee must also participate in required training, follow company policies and procedures, and adhere to all safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations

Responsibilities

  • Sells new or used vehicles to commercial or fleet customers at a profit
  • Meets dealership sales goals
  • Greets customer and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired
  • Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on road
  • Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase
  • Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount
  • Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including, preparing sales slip or sales contract
  • Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle
  • Researches availability of models and optional equipment
  • Engages in business development
  • Addresses customer concerns
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Participates in required training
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
  • Other duties as assigned
