About The Position
The Flat Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machinery to meet customer specifications. This role involves loading and unloading materials, performing in-process inspections to ensure quality, and packaging finished goods. The position is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 3 PM to 1 AM, and includes shift differential pay and opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- Able to read and comprehend work orders, instructions, and safety and procedural manuals.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.
- Ability to use and interpret tape measurer and other measuring instruments as required.
- Ability to drive a forklift and operate an overhead crane (company will train and certify).
Responsibilities
- Perform machine setup and calibrate equipment to meet customer specifications.
- Load and unload material into and out of machines.
- Perform in-process inspection of materials and maintain high quality output standards.
- Package finished goods for customer delivery or floor stock, including palletizing and banding when requested.
