Requirements

  • Current Washington State Flagger Certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical job duties for extended periods.
  • Commitment to Cannon's standards for Safety, Quality, Integrity, and Teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Safely direct vehicles, pedestrians, and equipment through active work zones.
  • Set up, maintain, inspect, and remove traffic-control devices in accordance with approved Traffic Control Plans.
  • Maintain awareness of changing traffic, weather, jobsite, and crew conditions.
  • Communicate clearly with other Flaggers, TCS personnel, supervisors, construction crews, and the public.
  • Help ensure signs, cones, barricades, and other devices remain properly positioned throughout the shift.
  • Identify and immediately communicate unsafe conditions.
  • Keep traffic-control vehicles, equipment, and devices clean, organized, and ready for use.
  • Assist other Cannon crews with appropriate work when traffic-control responsibilities allow and proper training has been provided.
  • Represent Cannon professionally on every jobsite.
