About The Position

This position is for a Flag Instructor for the 2026/27 school year at Strongsville High School. The instructor will be responsible for conducting color guard clinics and tryouts in April/May, instructing the color guard in basic movement and techniques, and writing and teaching routines for football games, parades, and other performances. Rehearsals will be held at least once or twice a week outside of normal band rehearsals, which are on Tuesdays from 3-5 pm and Thursdays from 6-9 pm. A flag camp will be held before band camp in the summer.

Requirements

• Pupil Activity Permit
• Coaches Toolchest Coaching Certificate
• Clear BCI/FBI Background check

Responsibilities

• Hold Flag Camp before Band Camp in summer
