About The Position

The North Plainfield School District invites applications for a Flag Football Head Coach position at North Plainfield High School. We are seeking a passionate, student-centered coach who is committed to helping build a comprehensive flag football program that supports student-athletes both on and off the field.

Requirements

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate or New Jersey Substitute Certificate
• Current certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid (or the ability to obtain certification prior to the start of the season)
• Demonstrated knowledge of flag football fundamentals, offensive and defensive schemes, game-day management, rule sets, safety protocols, and position-specific skill development
• Ability to organize structured practices, supervise students effectively, and maintain a safe, positive learning environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, school administration, athletic administration, and the athletic staff
• Knowledge of NJSIAA, school district, and Board of Education policies governing athletics and extracurricular activities

Nice To Haves

• Previous flag football coaching and/or playing experience preferred (or relevant experience in football coaching/tactics)
