About The Position

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with good vision, depth perception, hearing, and hand-eye coordination. The ideal candidate will have above-average math aptitude, be team-oriented, a problem-solver, self-motivated, and able to follow written work instructions. The position involves multitasking to meet production goals and deadlines, and requires good communication skills. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50lbs regularly, grip, push, and pull with 80lb strength regularly, generate 15lbs of pinch strength occasionally, perform elevated work occasionally, and stand on concrete for up to 8 hours. The role also requires willingness to cross-train, follow all safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment, and work any shift. A preliminary aptitude test (80% or above) and a pre-employment physical are required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Good vision/sight (must meet industry standards), depth perception, hearing, and hand-eye coordination, and dexterity.
  • Reading, writing, above average math aptitude is necessary.
  • Must be team-oriented, problem-solver, and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to follow written work instructions.
  • Must be able to multitask and meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Must be team-oriented and have good communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to grip, push, and pull with 80lb strength on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to generate 15lbs of pinch strength on occasion.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.

  • Some tasks require repetitive activities.

  • Must pass (80% or above) a preliminary aptitude test given at interview.

Responsibilities

  • Insure accurate locations of all casting details to customer specification.
  • Insure location of casting spot face locations.
  • Must be able to follow work instructions set out by Engineering/Quality.
  • To straighten and check castings to meet fixture tolerances per the work instructions.
  • To check that paperwork is complete and matches up with the casting being worked on, (Nine Basics).
  • Must be able to prep the casting for weld plug.
  • Must be able to prep the casting for weld plates.
  • Must be able to prep castings for test bar processing.
  • Must be able to perform tool sharpening.
  • Must be able to set up target guns.
  • Must be able to drill holes for salt fog coupons.
