About The Position
The job of a rabbittransit operator is more important than providing a trip from point A to point B. Our operators are essential workers who carry out the Authority's mission of helping people gain mobility. Throughout the day, our Fixed Route operators safely and courteously transport passengers along predetermined routes. Throughout the day, our Shared Ride Operators safely and courteously transport passengers where they need to go.
Requirements
- CDL Class A or B WITH Passenger Endorsement ("P" Endorsement)
- Air Brake Restriction Lifted (No "L", No "Z" and No "N" Restrictions on CDL)
Responsibilities
- Completing inspections
- Maintaining accurate records
- Assisting passengers with wheelchairs and other mobility devices
- Receiving and accounting for fares
- Using radio communications
- Following emergency procedures
- Completing other activities assigned by the Operations Supervisor/ Site Manager
