About The Position

Solidus Resources is seeking a Fixed Plant Superintendent to lead maintenance activities for a new crushing, conveying, and gold processing operation at the Spring Valley Gold Project. This role involves building maintenance systems, recruiting and developing a maintenance team, implementing reliability-centered maintenance practices, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the fixed plant, ADR process plant, and associated heap leach facilities. The successful candidate will be crucial in the commissioning, startup, and long-term reliability of critical processing infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of maintenance experience in mining, mineral processing, gold processing, aggregates, or another heavy industrial environment.
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience.
  • Experience maintaining crushing, conveying, and fixed plant equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Experience with CMMS systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting ADR process plants, heap leach operations, or other gold recovery processes is highly desirable.
  • Greenfield or commissioning experience preferred.
  • Mechanical trade certification, technical diploma, or related degree is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance activities across the crushing, conveying, ADR process plant, and heap leach facilities to maximize equipment reliability and availability.
  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and maintenance readiness for the new facility.
  • Oversee maintenance of fixed plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, pumps, piping, hydraulic and lubrication systems, electrical and instrumentation systems, leach solution distribution, carbon handling, elution circuits, electrowinning, reagent systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Implement condition monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing maintenance team while managing contractors and external service providers.
  • Establish maintenance procedures, SOPs, asset registers, and CMMS standards.
  • Plan maintenance resources, spare parts, tooling, and contractor support.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs, including equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, backlog, and costs.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, metallurgy, and project teams to improve plant reliability and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
