About The Position

The Fixed Income Trader will support DCMA’s Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) bond trading activities for institutional fixed income clients. This role is responsible for executing trades, monitoring market activity, developing trade ideas in partnership with Sales, and maintaining strong relationships with GSE issuers and market participants. The position will also support client engagement through market commentary, client meetings, and participation in relevant industry events.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
• Series 7 and 63
• Minimum 5 years of trading experience in related products.
• Proven ability to generate P&L while managing risk.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with sales, research and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Make markets in Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) bonds for institutional fixed income clients.
• Manage and maintain trading books, positions, and related market risk in accordance with desk strategy and firm guidelines.
• Adhere to all regulatory, compliance, and continuing education requirements necessary to maintain securities industry registrations.
• Engage with clients through market discussions, trade ideas, meetings, and appropriate business development activities.
• Ensure accurate trade ticket entry, confirmation, and related trade support processes.
• Communicate desk axes, market color, and trading opportunities to Sales to support client coverage and execution.
• Represent the firm at relevant industry events, conferences, and issuer meetings as appropriate.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with GSE issuers and market participants to support distribution, transaction flow, and league table performance.
