About The Position
WECTEC Staffing Services is hiring a Senior Level Pipe Fitter for a contract assignment at nuclear plants. The work is performed on site, and the position reports to the site Manager. The fitter plans, lays out, and executes jobs, and fabricates, installs, repairs, replaces, and maintains piping and a range of plant systems and equipment.
Requirements
- Five years of pipefitting craft experience; a diploma or applicable education from a trade or technical school in industrial maintenance may qualify for part of the experience requirement.
- Experience with pumping, delivery, and discharge systems.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Nuclear background.
- Must meet fitness-for-duty requirements, including medical screening and a pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lay out, and execute jobs.
- Fabricate, install, repair, replace, and maintain piping, plumbing, sewers, fixtures, filters, valves, air compressors, water meters, radiant heaters, controls, pumps (including cooling tower and chilled water pumps), vacuum, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, fire, water and waste systems throughout the plant site.
- Work on Ultra Filters and sanitary waste and industrial waste treatment facilities.
