About The Position

Founded in 1972, Action Vibratory Equipment, a subsidiary of Webster Industries, is committed to the design and manufacture of custom material-handling equipment and solutions. We serve industries and customers worldwide, including sawmills, foundries, power plants, and recycling facilities. ACTION is currently looking for a Fitter/Fabricator for immediate full-time employment. This position is eligible for overtime pay as workload demands.

Requirements

MIG welding in all positions (flat, vertical, and overhead)
Blueprint reading and technical drawings
Building/assembling from blueprints with a high level of attention to detail
Accurately read a variety of measuring devices
Must be familiar with all standard safety procedures

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Fitter/Fabricator or similar role
Fabricating large custom machinery
Dual Shield Flux Core welding
Prior leadership/supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Must be able to read measuring devices and blueprints
Layout parts, pans, bases, etc. according to specifications
Utilize overhead cranes to safely move parts
Assemble parts into finished units with a high level of attention to detail
Bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs.), kneeling and other out of position work is involved
Some grinding and burning involved
Some forklift and hand cart operation involved
Follow standards and procedures for work being done
Exercise quality control
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
Watch for and report safety hazards
