The Fitout Field Engineer I is responsible for supporting Production by documenting changes, answering questions, and creating deck plate changes. This role ensures timely and accurate communication between Design Engineering and Production. The position requires the ability to tour all vessels and work sites, performing various physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and talking or hearing. Occasional sitting is also required. Specific physical demands include bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, prolonged standing, head and body turning, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50-75lbs occasionally and up to 20lbs frequently. The role involves working at heights, on uneven surfaces, and in confined spaces. The employee must be able to use required tools and equipment safely, demonstrate good balance, possess sufficient handgrip and coordination, and utilize personal protective equipment as required by OSHA standards. The ability to withstand temperature extremes and enter small openings is also necessary. The work environment can involve humid conditions, bright flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, and potentially fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and loud noise levels (usually very loud, +90 dB).
