About The Position

Assisting in the fabrication and integration of C4ISR systems into Aircraft Carriers (CVN) under either New Contruction (NewCon) or Carrier Overhaul (RCOH) phases Assisting technical staff members in the fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical circuits Providing feedback to production management and QA with identified issues/defects in design or during the fabrication/integration phase with regards to cables or equipment racks Performing on-site installation of equipment and products in the continental United States within various environments to include naval bases and privately owned shipyards Providing written daily and weekly progress reporting Planning work assignments days and weeks in advance Assignments should align with the set schedule to ensure goals are met Monitoring progress for production team under their direction #LI-JC1

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 10 years of direct work experience
  • Minimum of a two-year technical degree and 8 years of work related experience equivalent combination of education and experience should add up to 10 years
  • Shipboard Electronics installation experience to include understanding of the following standards: MIL-STD-1310H, MIL-STD-1678-1D, MIL-STD-2003A, and MIL-STD-2042C
  • Proficiency in using cable fabrication hand tools to include but not limited to: Heat Guns, Hand Soldering Stations, and various crimp tools
  • Cable fabrication assembly experience with the following types of cables: RF, CAT5/6, Heliax, & Multi-pin MIL-STD Cannon Plugs
  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel to maintain, manipulate, and track progress of shipboard production efforts

Nice To Haves

  • C4ISR Navy Shipboard and Shipyard Experience
  • Navy "A" or "C" School
  • Fiber Optic Termination and Testing Experience (under NAVSEA 8477552 Rev C MIL-STD-2042C)
  • Active Certification is desired but not required
