About The Position
This is a full-time, temporary position from September - February. The Fitness/Wellness Specialist is responsible for the Charter House fitness/wellness program. The Fitness/Wellness Specialist is responsible for providing a service oriented and welcoming environment to all persons who visit the Fitness/Wellness Center. The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, organize, implement and evaluate fitness/wellness programs for older adults. This includes individual and group programs. May include programming for interested staff of the facility.
Requirements
- Demonstrated health promotion programming development, implementation, and evaluation skills.
- Competency in performing functional fitness tests and accurately interpreting results.
- Ability to design individual-specific programs with customer needs in mind.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and implement appropriate group exercise and fitness/wellness programs.
- Capacity to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (individual and group interactions).
- Sense of imagination and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, implement and evaluate fitness/wellness programs for older adults (individual and group).
