About The Position

BODYBAR Pilates South Lakeland is hiring a part-time founding Fitness Manager / Lead Pilates Instructor to help launch its Lakeland, Florida studio. The role combines teaching, instructor development, scheduling coordination, and community involvement. The Fitness Manager will work alongside the studio’s ownership and Studio Manager to build a welcoming studio and support a confident instructor team. Previous management experience is helpful but not required, and a 40-hour commitment is not expected. Scheduling is collaborative and may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Additional coverage will be discussed and coordinated with the team, and the employee will not be expected to remain available at all times. Opening dates and weekly needs may change with construction progress. Pay is $22–$25 per hour for management, planning, outreach, and other non-teaching work, and $45 per approved class taught. Related preparation and duties are addressed in the compensation agreement. Required training time is paid, and ongoing professional development is provided. Perks include complimentary classes subject to availability and studio policy, retail discounts, a bonus, and paid time off. The employer does not currently offer employer-sponsored health insurance. Any future increase in hours would be discussed and agreed upon together. BODYBAR training and teaching approval, as well as CPR/AED certification, must be completed before teaching BODYBAR classes.
