About The Position

This role is for a Fitness Instructor specializing in Cardiac Rehabilitation at Via Christi, St. Francis in Wichita, KS. The position is full-time, with a day shift schedule from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through their academic partnership with Wichita State University.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science OR an active, accredited Certificate in Personal Training.
• Rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead customized fitness programs and inclusive group exercise classes that empower diverse patient populations to achieve their unique health and recovery goals.
• Educate and inspire the broader community by developing, marketing, and presenting engaging wellness lectures that promote lifelong healthy habits.
• Guide participants through comprehensive fitness instruction, helping them clearly connect physical exercise to their overall health and wellness journeys.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and high-functioning fitness center by overseeing equipment upkeep and ensuring all members are confidently and safely trained on proper usage.
