We are seeking a Fitness Director to implement exercise, wellness, and senior health standards, oversee documentation, and manage a small team. This role involves teaching classes and administrative duties, contributing to a vibrant and engaging atmosphere where contributions are celebrated and growth is encouraged.

Requirements

Certifications in CPR, AED, and Group Exercise REQUIRED.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
Ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

College or university degree (preferably in Exercise Science or related field).
Certifications from ACE, ACSM, AFAA, ASFA, NSCA or other nationally recognized and accredited fitness association preferred.
Aquatic certification preferred.
Three years’ experience as a personal trainer.
Three years of exercise or wellness experience with seniors.

Responsibilities

Maintain HIPAA standards and ensure confidentiality of member/resident and employee medical information.
Encourage participation in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) programs.
Ensure diversity in classes to cover all Pillars of Wellness.
Ensure the safety and proper progression of members/residents in wellness program offerings.
Supervise and mentor Wellness Associates to maximize wellness programming delivery.
Direct and assist members with movement to and from recreational areas for scheduled programs.
Design and implement incentive programs, home office initiatives, and educational opportunities (e.g., bulletin boards, presentations, new classes).
Educate class participants on self-protection from infectious diseases and promote other safety precautions.
Participate in and attend all required in-service training and education programs.
Collaborate with the Social Director to enhance and implement programming.
Perform other duties as assigned.
