About The Position

This role is for a Head Coach who can excel at three key areas: delivering high-quality coaching sessions, developing a strong coaching staff, and ensuring an excellent member experience. D1 Training North Shore is an athletic performance facility in Glenview that uses training principles similar to collegiate and professional levels. Their members range from youth athletes (7+) to competitive high school athletes, adults, and teams, all training in a high-energy, results-focused environment. The Head Coach is crucial for fulfilling the promise of helping every athlete achieve their goals.

Requirements

NCCA accredited certification (CSCS, NASM, USAW, ACSM, or equivalent).
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
One plus year of coaching experience in strength, conditioning, or group training.
Demonstrated experience leading or developing a team.
Ability to build relationships with athletes and parents.
Ability to protect the member experience.

Nice To Haves

Collegiate athletic background preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Coaching Lead sessions across Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adult, and Team programs.
Running athlete assessments and goal-setting during onboarding.
Setting the standard for a 5-star D1 session consistently.
Hiring, onboarding, and developing coaches who meet the facility's standards.
Conducting coach education, programming reviews, and performance feedback.
Building a coaching team that supports growth without compromising quality.
Driving member retention through proactive check-ins and outreach to members with low usage.
Supporting the 7, 30, 60, and 90-day onboarding touchpoints for members.
Overseeing class scheduling, staff coverage, and facility upkeep.
