Fitness Coordinator

Cohere Life•San Marcos, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

Cohere is seeking a Fitness Coordinator for Kissing Tree, a 55+ community in San Marcos, Texas, with resort-style amenities and more than 60 group fitness classes each week. The role supports fitness and aquatic facility operations, coordinates instructors and wellness programming, and helps create a welcoming experience for residents. Duties span daily facility operations, class scheduling, program leadership, and support for special events. The position suits an organized, energetic, flexible person who enjoys fitness and wellness and working with people. The work schedule is not a traditional Monday–Friday, 9-to-5 schedule. Because programming takes place when residents are available, significant flexibility is required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, some holidays, and community events. Schedules vary with programming and operational needs, and candidates must be comfortable with these hours as a regular and ongoing part of the role. The position involves working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, moving throughout fitness and aquatic facilities, assisting with program setup, and lifting or moving equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.

  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, and other technology to manage daily operations.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities, solve problems, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A genuine passion for fitness, wellness, and creating positive resident experiences.
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, some holidays, and community events on a regular and ongoing basis.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Ability to move throughout fitness and aquatic facilities and assist with program setup.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
