The Guest Services Associate is responsible for member services and health club operations. This role involves maintaining a warm and hospitable atmosphere for all members and guests, ensuring they are acknowledged promptly, sign in according to procedures, and are directed appropriately. The associate will make guests and members feel comfortable, communicate with them on a first-name basis, and handle incoming phone calls, taking and delivering messages accurately. Additionally, the role includes providing daily workout sheets, organizing and filing paperwork, entering data for record maintenance, distributing locker keys, towels, and workout attire, and selling health bar and pro shop items with accurate sales records. The associate will also make appointments for fitness consultations and personal training, maintain the cleanliness of the front desk and lounge area, assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of club equipment and facilities, and refill amenities in locker rooms and common areas. Laundering of towels and workout wear is also part of the duties. Effective communication with all levels of club staff is essential to ensure quality customer service. The role also involves accurate cash management and/or cashier closing duties, and performing various other duties as necessary.
