About The Position

This position is for a Student Worker at the Great Basin College Fitness Center. The role involves assisting students and faculty, maintaining equipment, and performing various administrative and customer service duties. The position requires the student to be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and maintain a 2.0 GPA, and qualify for Work Study or RSP. Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary, and CPR/AED certification is preferred. The student must be responsible, able to work independently, and available for weekend and evening hours.

Requirements

Must be a student of Great Basin College
Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the semester and maintain a 2.0 GPA
Must qualify for Work Study or RSP through Student Financial Services
Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Customer service
Must be responsible and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Provide assistance to Instructors
Greet students and faculty and assist them with equipment
Clean and sanitize gym and weight room equipment
Collect money
Assist with Student Government Activities
Receptionist duties
Being assertive and able to address people who aren't following safety protocols
