About The Position

The Fitness Center Attendant is responsible for the professional maintenance of the Club’s fitness center, ensuring the best customer service for Members and guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, committed to helping others achieve their health and wellness goals, and has excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Willingness to learn and accept instruction
  • Be dependable, prompt, and team-oriented
  • Must possess a positive attitude and good work ethic
  • High-end customer service experience in a hospitality or private club environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create a memorable experience for all Members and guests, continually providing excellent customer service with a high level of professionalism
  • Provide immediate attention to all Members and guests upon arrival
  • Refer to each Member by name with a friendly and outgoing demeanor
  • Ensure the fitness center is well-stocked and inviting
  • Check/scan all ID cards for Members, guests, and temporary visitors
  • Manage the front desk, taking calls, responding to emails & managing sign-ins
  • Do laundry as needed, maintaining an adequate level of folded towels
  • Monitor the Fitness Center, ensuring safe use and proper storage
  • Advise management of any complaints as soon as they occur
  • Ensure all equipment is properly wiped down and sanitized after each use
  • Keep the Fitness Center clean, organized, and presentable at all times
  • Complete all opening, side, & closing duties, as instructed
  • Assist in the development of activities and promotions for the Fitness Center
  • Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Solve problems, work as a team, be a leader, and inspire happiness
  • Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by the Club, and assist in the implementation of BHIC mandatory standards of operations
