Fit Model, Medium Women’s Apparel (Independent Contractor)

Our Product team creates high-quality apparel that helps people get outside and enjoy the outdoors. We are looking for a Fit Model for Medium Women’s Apparel to support the development and fit evaluation of MEC apparel. This is not an employee role. This is an independent contractor opportunity with fit sessions scheduled on an as-needed basis at our Vancouver office. Requirements
- Body measurements closely align with Medium Women’s Apparel fit standards, within a tolerance of approximately plus or minus ½ inch.
- Height: 5'5"
- Chest circumference: 37¼"
- Natural waist circumference: 30½"
- Hip circumference: 39½"
- Inseam length, crotch to floor: 30½"
- Comfortable standing for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable changing garments frequently during fit sessions.
- Comfortable providing feedback on garment fit, comfort, and mobility.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly with the product development team.
- Available for fit sessions on an ongoing, as-needed basis.
- Able to maintain body measurements within the required fit model specifications.
- Available for 2 to 4 hours per session.
- Available weekly or bi-weekly sessions, as needed.
- Ideally available Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Able to submit invoices for completed fit sessions.
- Responsible for any applicable taxes, business registration requirements, or other contractor obligations.
Responsibilities
- Participating in apparel fit sessions with our Product Development, Design, and Technical Design teams.
- Trying on a variety of apparel products, including activewear, outerwear, base layers, and other technical garments.
- Changing garments throughout fit sessions as needed.
- Standing and moving for extended periods while garments are assessed.
- Providing clear and constructive feedback on fit, comfort, mobility, and garment performance.
- Supporting the product team in maintaining consistent fit standards across MEC apparel collections.
- Allowing photos to be taken during fit sessions for internal fit evaluation and documentation purposes only. Faces will be obscured or cropped to protect privacy.
