A Fishmonger attends to the fish preparation needs of guests, including selection, advice, cutting, cleaning, weighing, and packaging. This role reports to the Fresh Market Manager. Assist guests with fish selection and share knowledge of preparation and cooking techniques, providing exceptional guest service. Cut, clean, and prepare whole fish and shellfish. Cook fish and shellfish for salads and catering dishes. Weigh, package, and label fish. Display and store food at appropriate temperatures in accordance with Department of Health standards and maintain proper shellfish tag records. Stock the counter neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner according to pricing menus, and promptly inform management when fish quantities or supplies are low. Clean workstations thoroughly. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
