St. Andrew's Parks & PlaygroundCharleston, SC
Onsite

About The Position

St. Andrew's Parks and Playground is seeking Fishing Camp Counselors for our summer Fishing Camp program. Successful candidates enjoy working with children, teaching basic fishing skills, and contributing to a positive, safe, and engaging camp environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has enriched lives through parks, recreation, and wellness for more than 80 years. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy fishing and sharing that experience with children ages 8-13. This is a seasonal position that runs during the summer break. Fishing Camp Counselors will start their day at the gymnasium at 1095 Playground Road. Counselors will then accompany participants to and from fishing locations. Counselors age 18 or older who possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record may be asked to assist with transportation. Participants and counselors will need to bring a sack lunch each day as lunch will be picnic style at the fishing site. Summer Fishing Camps will run Monday through Friday from June 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026. Paid pre-camp training sessions will be on select dates between May 11 and May 29. These sessions will start at 6:00 PM and conclude once the program activities for that session are completed, typically by 8:00 - 9:00 PM. Attendance at pre-camp training sessions is required unless an accommodation or approved exception is granted by the Program Director. If you enjoy fishing and sharing that experience with others, we would love to hear from you!
