St. Andrew's Parks and Playground is seeking Fishing Camp Counselors for their summer Fishing Camp program. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, teaching basic fishing skills, and fostering a positive, safe, and engaging camp environment. The position offers a chance to contribute to a team that has been enriching lives through parks, recreation, and wellness for over 80 years. This is a seasonal position running during the summer break, specifically from June 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026. Counselors will begin their day at the gymnasium and then accompany participants to and from fishing locations. Those aged 18 or older with a valid driver's license and a good driving record may be asked to assist with transportation. Participants and counselors are expected to bring their own sack lunches for picnic-style meals at the fishing site. Paid pre-camp training sessions are mandatory and will occur on select dates between May 11 and May 29, typically from 6:00 PM to 8:00-9:00 PM, unless an accommodation is approved by the Program Director.
