The Fisheries Research Scientist IV will serve as the field crew lead for the Cle Elum sockeye reintroduction program and the Bull Trout reintroduction and conservation program. This role requires performing a variety of technical and skilled tasks related to fisheries management, including data collection, management, analysis, technical writing, and oral presentation of research results. The scientist will also represent the Yakama Nation and the Bull Trout and Sockeye program in technical working groups with stakeholders. Field duties are extensive and include spawning ground and carcass surveys, GIS mapping, fish capture and tagging, various netting operations, detailed field data recording, monitoring fish migration, fish culturing, fish rescue, boat operation, and managing fish trapping facilities.
