This is the position of Public Access Technician in the Public Access Services Office within the FWC’s Division of Habitat and Species Conservation. The Division is comprised of six Sections and two Offices. Our Office is a leader in innovative best practices to provide safe, sustainable, quality wildlife experiences and conservation opportunities to the public. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Construction and Maintenance team! The Public Access Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, monitoring, and implementation of public access opportunities on FWC-managed areas. This is an opportunity to directly influence and improve outdoor recreation on FWC-managed lands while working outdoors and learning about Florida’s fish, wildlife, and habitats. This position will be assigned to work at a number of different FWC-managed areas within the FWC’s Northeast Region. This is a full-time OPS position with a pay rate starting at $16.83 per hour, with health benefits. It is located in Christmas, FL at the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area Field Office.
