This position serves as a crew member at salmon counting projects at field camps throughout Norton Sound from approximately July to mid-September each year. The primary duties of this position are to record hourly salmon passage by species, capture salmon using weir traps and beach seines to collect biological data, and to maintain field facilities and equipment in a remote setting. Additionally, this position may assist in sampling commercial harvests of salmon and red king crab.
