Requirements

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting ledgers and journals to meet agency and state requirements
  • Manage subsidiary ledgers, databases, and files that support expenditure reports
  • Prepare weekly expense vouchers and enter financial information into the accounting system
  • Assist with quarterly Title IV-E and TANF reports and help reconcile agency and county records
  • Determine the correct posting of Resource and Adoptive Family Payrolls to cost centers
  • Apply understanding of eligibility rules, reimbursement rates, and allowable costs when reviewing financial information
