About The Position

The Fiscal Technical Specialist assigned to the Mono County Clerk-Recorder's Office provides specialized technical, administrative, and customer service support for one of the County's most visible public service departments. This position plays an important role in processing and maintaining official records, assisting the public with Clerk and Recorder services, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of vital County records. Responsibilities may include processing recorded documents, issuing marriage licenses and certified copies of vital records, processing fictitious business name filings and environmental notices, collecting fees, maintaining confidential records, and providing information regarding Clerk-Recorder services while ensuring compliance with California laws and County policies. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide professional, courteous service while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced public office.

Requirements

  • FTS I: One (1) year of previous work experience in performing office, financial, or statistical support work.
  • FTS II: One (1) year of work experience in performing financial, statistical, assessment roll, treasury support, tax collection support, or document processing and recording work at a level comparable to Fiscal and Technical Specialist I with Mono County.
  • FTS III: Two (2) years of work experience in performing financial, statistical, assessment roll, treasury support, tax collection support, child support, or document processing and recording work at a level comparable to Fiscal and Technical Specialist II with Mono County.
  • FTS IV: Two (2) years of work experience in performing financial, statistical, assessment roll, treasury support, tax collection support, child support, benefits, collections, information technology, or document processing and recording work at a level comparable to Fiscal and Technical Specialist III with Mono County.
