The Fiscal Support Manager oversees the daily operations of the fiscal support team, ensuring that all financial transactions, records, and reports are accurate and completed on time. This role includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing support in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Three years of experience in fiscal support, accounting, or financial management.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Solid understanding of state fiscal management practices and accounting systems.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to review complex financial documents and identify discrepancies.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of cost allocation principles, PACAP requirements, and federal claiming rules.
  • Experience supervising fiscal staff and overseeing daily cost allocation or reporting operations.
  • Proficiency with AASIS/SAP/S4HANA, AlloCAP™, CVT, EasyRMTS™, AlloTrac™, and related fiscal interfaces.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile reports, and prepare compliant federal submissions.
  • Ability to identify division level operational changes affecting cost allocation and provide guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the fiscal support team, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and budget analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with state financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide financial guidance and training to staff on best practices and systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of budget requests and reports for executive review.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial needs are met.
