The Fiscal Manager will serve as the fiscal authority for Student Life and Development, overseeing all fiscal operations and ensuring compliance with University and state policies. This role involves developing and implementing internal controls for daily financial operations, managing comprehensive budgetary plans, preparing financial statements and reports, and providing financial analysis for decision-making. The Fiscal Manager will also direct the collection and reporting of financial data, represent the department in audits, and serve as the administrative approving authority for travel requests. Additionally, this position supervises fiscal office staff, develops departmental fiscal policies, evaluates purchasing activities, resolves procurement issues, and oversees asset and inventory management. The role includes planning and conducting training sessions on fiscal procedures, monitoring debt service obligations, and serving as a fiscal resource for student organizations. Communication of University policies and procedures to students and staff is also a key responsibility. The position requires working beyond normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and performing other assigned duties.
